They didn't "Steal" another station's imaging. They produced their own. They just picked up the branding, format of a station that decided to flip to Hot Country. They didn't like that and apparently the owners of what no longer exists (93.1 The Lake) didn't like that either so it went to court.
It's actually quite common for other stations to pick up other station's formats after they change format with or without the previous branding.
WVIC in Lansing, Michigan (Covers a good chunk of Central Michigan) owned by Wisconsin's very own Midwest Communications is the most recent example. They changed WVIC's format to Classic Country (Duke FM) and a little over a year later Townsquare Media picked up the branding and a similar format on a weaker station just east of Kalamazoo. That branding? "The Edge"
This just happened a bit to quickly unfortunately.
